Does wealth deem as success in life?

In my society, success in life is often equated with having a career which earns a large salary, driving a luxury car and living in very spacious village. Such status symbols are often taken as critierion in evaluating the success of a person because they are considered as very difficult to achieve.

In my opinion, I feel that there are certain more intangible aspects of life which is more important in determining of a person's life. One basice criteria which I feel that cannot be qualified is happiness and being healthy. Even if a person can have all the money in the world but he feels sad and dejected than he would feel that his life is empty and barren. On the other hand, an ordinary man may be contented with his life because he feels the joy in his life from having a happy family or having many good friends.

Every person has the potential to realize their own dreams. As to me, wealth is transient and it is useless compared to the more enduring elements of a person's life like DIGNITY, RESPECT, LOVE, FRIENDSHIP, AND HAPPINESS. These things we cannot use the money to buy it, it comes from the PURE HEART, the RIGHT ACTION, WELL-BEHAVED.

If there is a will, there is a way

I think it is important that each of us should keep hope and dream in mind . Hopes and dreams come to fill with perseverance and the real commitment on the right way. When we are without hope, then our body becomes lost of energy and power.

If we think optimistically, then the power of positive thinking will bring good results, even if it takes time to reach us. On the other hand, if we think pessimistically, bad results will certainly follow.

So, I would like you to believe that everything is still possible and learn to be a good thinker.

SMART POWER

What is power? Power is the way how to influence the others to get the outcomes one wants. There are several ways to affect the behavior of others.

• You can coerce them with threats.
• You can induce them with payments.
• Or you can attract or co-opt them.

SMART POWER = HARD POWER + SOFT POWER

The changing structure of contemporary international relations is reflected in the fall of bipolars super powers and the rise of China and India. Today, a win-win strategy were used in a diplomatic interstate relations, not a carrot-and-stick. In the actual global context, it's the phase of understanding and cooperation in exchange of economic, and trade. So, in the present phase of internationl relations, the soft power are used to gain advantages over the rival. However, the hard power is also used sometimes in the difficult times, for example, the Afghan war.

HARD POWER means to coerce by military or other means such as an economic embargo etc...

SOFT POWER means the power to convince and persuade through trade, diplomacy, aid and the spread of values.

If America want to restore its image on the international arena and a leader of the world, it should learn to co-operate and listen.

The thing I hate most

From my point of view, one personality is not enough to deal with all situations. Surely, we all share view that no one can be perfect. There must be a good and a bad. However, it's significant to ask yourself if you are good enough. In reality, everything has its own standard. Some people will never be able to know his/her fault even he/she is told by the other. More importantly, it should keep in mind that reckless mistakes are certainly forgivable but not intentional one is not allowed. So, let's focus on good habits.

Someone used to tell me " Think before Say Something" I will keep it in mind but honestly I slip out of tongue on talking with the close ones sometime, it's not my real purpose. So, It makes me recall the French Slogan said" La parole est d'argent, mais le silence est d'or".

The thing I really hate the most is blaming me before someone else because it make me think I lose face. Dignity and good reputation are my want. As far as I am concerning, these both things are important than money. In that respect, I would be happy and thank if they can talk face to face with me. Frankly, I am neither good at making an arguement nor quarrels but also giving a curse. In my whole life, when I hear people making a strong argument or dispute I always walk away from the scene. Thanks to my best friend who give me the best advice, I should have something haves and haves-not.

Unlucky Christmas's Day

A week before Christmas's day, we had plan to celebrate the festive event on the boat along the Chatumuk river with the exchange gift between BSG member. Later on, everything was completely changed due to workplace. However, we are still very happy to make very constructive gathering.

On the Christmas Eve, B1 and B3 went window shopping to find a Santa Clau toy for S4. But I can't find it. We promise to give her on the First January of 2009.

Let me tell you about unlucky Christmas's day. We all agree to have an small dinner and sweetie talk among us at Mlop Svay 99 together. I was told by B3 going there first to make an place reservation. Unluckily, no places available on the upstair. Because it has already booked one day or few hours before us. So, I decided to take place at downstairs. I was alone waiting them with drinking a cup of beer with peanut, while they were on the way coming due to heavy traffic jam. 45 mins later, B3 and s4 arrived on the scene.

We started ordering food and simultaneously chatting and calling the other two. One is still leaving and the other was caught in traffic jam. We had happy talk and made fun of each other. the other two still was on the way as they were approaching the restaurant. Unfortunately, the rain poured down, it make us stop and check the bill. The cashier made a wrong charge. We complainted to him.

We decided to come back home, but S4 wanted to see then-Sleuk Toy restaurant now Singapore Chiken restaurant. So, we are ok coming to the restaurant again. There are problem with Car parking. Finally, we had dinner and took photos togehter.
